Movie Review- Avengers: Age of Ultron

I would like to apologize for this blog post taking so long to publish as my family and I were heavily involved in getting ready for this years Prince George 24 hour Relay for Life in support of the Canadian Cancer Society. Congratulations Prince George on another year well done!

My family really loves the Marvel movies. We have a lot of the Marvel movies which we have all watched many times over and so they were pretty jealous when I got to go watch the latest in the Avengers series to review.

The movie starts with a battle between the Avengers and Hydra because Hydra has Loki’s staff and is trying to use it as a weapon of some sort against the Avengers. Of course, the Avengers take Loki’s staff from Hydra, and then Hawkeye gets shot by a laser turret.

The story plot wasn’t what I thought it would be based on the commercials, but it did make sense, for a while. The sudden plot changes had me rethinking the entire plot of the movie with the movies unexpected plot twists that made me want to say “Wait, no, go back and pause! I want to see that again!” then I remembered that I was in the theater and didn’t say anything, so I continued rethinking the plot.

I like how the actors had their previous movies to get used to their characters which made the movie more realistic, but less realistic at the same time. When I say less realistic it is not a bad thing but more of how they honed their inhuman abilities, and for some other things that are related to the story plot and might spoil the movie if I told you.

I would rate this movie 9/10 for great story plot, once I got it all figured out, and for great overall acting.

On a die hard fan note for those who want to know extra details check out the TV Series Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D season 2 episode titled "The Dirty Half Dozen" before watching the movie and then watch the episode "Scars" afterwards.
